Fascinated by geometry, physics, and poetry, his work pushes design beyond its functional application to create extraordinary atmospheric experiences. He was included in the Wallpaper* Power 200, a roster of the world’s top design influencers released in 2015, and in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies 2011 Top 10 in Design. An engaging storyteller, Benshetrit has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design, University of Nebraska, and the Wolfsonian—Florida International University museum and research center. He currently serves on the board of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
Architect, art director and designer, opened Studio Lissoni Associati based in Milan in 1986. The work of his studio embraces architecture, graphics, and industrial design, with projects ranging from furniture, kitchens, accessories and lighting, to corporate identity, advertising and packaging. Projects include hotels, exhibitions private residences, and yachts. Piero Lissoni is considered one of the most prolific designers of our time, his contribution to the world of design and architecture are unparalleled.
The Swedish design trio of Claesson-Koivisto-Rune was founded in 1995 as an architectural office, but currently operates as a multidisciplinary practice with a focus on architecture and design. They have an extensive list of completed projects including: the Swedish Ambassador’s house in Berlin, Sony Music Headquarters in Stockholm, Gucci Stockholm and Louis Vuitton in Stockholm to name a few, as well as private residences.
Francesco Rota graduated with a degree in product design from the Art Center College of Design in 1994. He works in different fields of design including product, furniture, office spaces, residential interiors and events and has participated in many international exhibitions. He was awarded two honorable mentions from the prestigious Compasso d’oro and currently teaches in the Master Research Study Program at the Instituto Europe di Design.
Swedish group Front, established in 2003, works as a team where all members are involved in the eclectic design process. Guided by Anna Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist, the 2 founders, it designs objects, furniture and interiors that explore the process of making and questions the conventional role of the designer. Within their products you can often find a story about the design process, about conventions and expectations or about the material it is made of.
DAVID LOPEZ QUINCOCES
Born in Spain in 1980, obtained a degree in Art from the 'University Complutense of Madrid' in 2004, followed by a Masters in Interior Design at the 'Polictecnico di Milano'. He has lived in Milan since 2005, when he began a collaboration with Piero Lissoni on numerous interior design and architecture projects, such as showrooms, fair stands, private apartments, offices, hotels and resorts, both in Italy and abroad. An now runs his own studio, based in Madrid and Milan.
Jean-Marie Massaud graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieur de Creation Industrielle in Les Ateliers, Paris. He is a French architect, inventor, and designer. Massaud, has received the IF Product Forum Prize in 2006, and been named designer of the year in 2005 by ELLE DECO. He has received 3 Compasso d'Oro prizes and has co-founded Studio Massaud with Daneil Pouzet.
The child prodigy of Japanese architecture, Junya began his career at Studio SANAA before opening his own studio, junya.ishigami+associates in 2004. His most interesting designs include: Table, a 10 meter long steel table with an ultra-thin oscillating top, which he designed in 2005, shortly after opening his studio, and Balloon, an enormous aerostatic balloon presented at the exhibition Space For Your Future at the Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art in 2007.
The mtd-Marc Thorpe Design studio was founded in 2005 by architectand industrial designer Marc Thorpe. Thorpe is internationally known for his innovative and dynamic work and for his strict approach in the integration of architecture, design and technology. As Thorpe explains, “We believe in a holistic approach, which involves the social components of space and form”.
GamFratesi Design studio was established in 2006 by Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Stine is Danish, while Enrico is Italian and together they represent a new interpretation of the meeting between Danis and International design traditions.
Their aim is to create furniture that illustrates the process and techniques that created it, which reflects a persistent exploration of the diverse border between harmony and disharmony.
Patricia served as an assistant lecturer to both Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at the Politecnico di Milano University and E.N.S.C.I. in Paris before going on to the architectural firm de Renzio and Ramerino. There, she specialized in the architectural design of showrooms, restaurants, and franchising. She became head of the Lissoni Associati design group in 1996 and opened her own studio in 2001, specializing in product design, architecture, installations, and concept creation. Patricia lives and works in Milan.
influenced by the achievements of the Nordic architects both in architecture and in product design. In 2010 he won the first prize in the Dressed Stone design competition promoted by Antonio Lupi and Marmotech Carrara. This event marked the beginning of his collaboration with Antonio Lupi. The design proposals are inspired by solutions developed for the domestic environment, which represent a major part of the studio’s commissions.
A student of industrial design began his career in Singapore and received the prestigious Singapore President’s Design Awarded as Designer of the year in 2008, the highest honor awarded to the designers from all creative disciplines in Singapore. Currently based in the country in which his career began, Nathan runs a multidisciplinary design consultancy practice. His work encompasses industrial design, graphics, interior and architectural design, strategic planning in product development and manufacturing processes.
Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Arik graduated from the Art Center Europe in Switzerland and began his career as an industrial designer. His Paris-based firm L Design develops projects in industrial, interior, and graphic design for the global market. His technical skills and creativity allow him to work on a variety of projects including lighting design, corporate branding, exhibition, and interior and set design. Several of his products can be found in the permanent collections of the most prestigious museums and institutions.
