Explore modern beds in Los Angeles at GRAYE, where contemporary frames are designed to give your primary bedroom the right proportions, support, and visual weight. Our modern beds suit a range of room layouts, mattress sizes, and interior styles, from a streamlined platform bed to an upholstered bed with a substantial headboard. Each piece can shape how the rest of your bedroom comes together.
Los Angeles light is generous and unforgiving: dry heat inland, marine air near the coast, and a sun that fades whatever it touches. Outdoor furniture in Los Angeles has to look right beside the architecture and hold up against all of it.
GRAYE’s West Hollywood gallery presents Italian and European outdoor collections in teak, powder-coated metal, stone, concrete, and woven cord, with removable covers on many sofas and chairs. Our design team helps you plan a terrace, patio, or pool deck as one composition.

Materials, Specifications, and Performance
Weather-resistant furniture is a matter of material choice. This is what each does in the Los Angeles climate.- A dense hardwood rich in natural oils, it resists moisture and insects. Left alone, it weathers from honey to silver-gray, and a periodic teak oil keeps the original tone. See Kasbah and Kasumi Table.
- Powder-coated aluminum and stainless steel. These metals resist corrosion, and powder coating adds a durable surface that does not chip easily. Fillet pairs both. In coastal homes, ask about stainless steel hardware, which holds up best against salt air.
- Stone and porcelain stoneware. Both are naturally UV-stable and do not fade in strong sun. Porcelain stoneware resists stains and heat, which suits a dining top. See Kasumi Table and Incas.
- Concrete and cement. Heavy bases stay put in wind and develop a subtle patina. See Fossil and Rock Mini.
- Woven cord. Outdoor-grade cord holds its shape and color in sun and damp. See Palme, Corda and Bambusae.
- Fabrics and cushions. Look for outdoor-rated, solution-dyed fabrics, which resist fading better than surface-printed ones, and quick-drying cushion cores. Removable covers make cleaning and replacement straightforward.
Choosing for Your Setting
- Inland and the Valley. Heat and direct sun are the main factors. Prioritize UV-stable materials, light-colored or high-performance fabrics, and shade.
- Coastal homes in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. Salt air and the marine layer favor stainless steel, powder-coated aluminum, and teak, with removable covers that can be cleaned or replaced.
- Pool decks. Look for stable bases, quick-drying surfaces, and covers that come off for cleaning.
Care and Cleaning
- Teak: rinse, then wash with mild soap and a soft brush along the grain. Apply teak oil, or let the wood weather to silver.
- Powder-coated metal and stainless steel: rinse with fresh water and mild soap, and avoid abrasive pads.
- Stone and porcelain: use a pH-neutral cleaner and wipe spills promptly.
- Concrete and cement: wipe with a damp cloth and avoid acidic cleaners.
- Cushions and covers: follow the maker’s care label, rotate cushions regularly, and store them dry or covered during rain.
Planning Your Layout
- Dining: allow 24 inches of table edge per diner. A 72-inch table seats 6, and a 96-inch table seats 8. Leave 36 inches behind the chairs.
- Seating groups: keep 14 to 18 inches between a sofa and a low table, and about 30 inches for walkways.
- Pool decks: keep a clear path of about 36 inches beside loungers and daybeds.
- Rugs and lighting: an outdoor rug defines a seating group, and outdoor lamps extend the use of a terrace after dark.
